Indy! Your friend in Racing!
Indy! Your friend in Racing!

Dear friends!!

Greetings from my barn in Georgia and Pudge’s barn in Manheim! Well this has been a thrilling weekend of prep racing! How about American Pharoah! That boy did not disappoint as he flew by the finish line several lengths ahead of the rest of the field. He smoked ’em as they say! Pudge and I were and still are over the moon!! It’s going to be a Kentucky Derby to remember for sure. We are anticipating a huge race with some pretty talented 3 YRO’s! Whoa! There are some very very strong contenders and who will get the dream trip remains to be seen. But whatever happens Pudge and I will be on the edge of our stalls in great anticipation! They’re all rock stars in racing in our opinion and they work so hard to get in those gates the first weekend in May which makes this event so special. It’s a once in a lifetime opportunity to be in this race and to win it is very hard to do. But the reality is they’re all winners in our eyes and I am sure you’d agree.

So let’s get started!

Race Recap: American Pharoah was phenomenal!

AMERICAN PHAROAH broke with the field, allowed the leader to go while racing off the inside, continued to stalk in the run up the backstretch, moved at will to collar the leader in the second turn, clear into the lane, drew out as he pleased through the stretch without being asked for his best. FAR RIGHT last away, continued to lag well back in the run up the backstretch, roused turning for home, steered out when
straightened, finished willingly to be in time for the place, never a threat to the winner. MR. Z came out just after the start, raced forwardly and outside, moved a bit closer into the far turn, lodged a mild and brief bid in the second bend, flattened out in the drive. MADEFROMLUCKY in a bit tight at the start, fell back off the early lead, continued one paced throughout while remaining off the inside. BOLD CONQUEST bothered slightly just after the start, also raced well off the early leaders, two path the middle half, dropped to the inside, improved a bit in the lane while not a serious threat. WIN THE SPACE settled well off the pace while racing outside, four wide into, five wide out of the final turn, lacked a kick in the stretch. THE TRUTH OR ELSE void of speed, raced inside, saved ground to no avail as he lacked a response in the drive. BRIDGET’S BIG LUVY a bit restless in the gate, broke out, got clear soon after, showed the way through some lively fractions, caved readily when headed by the winner turning for home.
